FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
Q: Do you make a kit for my engine size?
A: We do not make kits for any specific motor size. We offer 3 different blowers for all engine sizes.
Q: How easy is the blower to install on my engine?
A: With our blower, you can set up a simple bracket to mount the blower and use your existing, stock belt system set up. There is no need for a jack shaft or double pulley set up. Most machinists, fabrication and/or speed shops should be able to create your bracket.
Q: Do I need to modify my fuel system or ECU to handle the supercharger set up?
A: There are two solutions for the fuel system set up:
1) Have your ECU flashed or reprogrammed and/or add a new chip.
2) Add an FMU - It is a simple mechanical fuel modulation unit that solves the fuel starvation issues.
Q: What type of blower do you offer and how much boost can I expect?
A: Our blowers are 100% Billit and C&C Machined, centrifugal blowers. Our Stage I blowers operate at 25,000 rpm which equals 6 lbs. of boost. Our Stage II blower operates at 16,000 rpm for 6 lbs. of boost.
Stage I Blower = 1-4L engines
Stage II Blower = 5L engines and up
Q: Does the blower have a lubrication system for the bearings?
A: No. We use internal sealed C-3 rated bearings that max out at 30,000 rpm peak, therefore, our blowers are easily within the limits to have extended bearing life (16-25,000 rpm). This is substantially longer than any other supercharger or turbocharger on the market due to our lower impeller speeds.
Q: How much horsepower can I expect from supercharging my engine?
A: Most stock motors can expect to gain 40% more hp and torque at 6psi of boost. At 6psi, the supercharger will not put added strain on the motor.
Q: How long will it take me to receive my supercharger and what form of payment do you take?
A: It takes 15-18 business days to prepare your supercharger to ship. Shipping is done via USPS which is included in the cost if shipped within the continental United States. A 10% military discount is available. Payment is accepted through Paypal.
Q: Can I get more boost or psi from your supercharger?
A: Yes. A simple replacement pulley can be purchased through RJS Superchargers. We typically only upgrade pulleys for built motors or racing applications as excessive boost can damage stock motors.
Q: How noisy is the blower?
A: It has a belt whistle or whine, otherwise it is fairly quiet.
